Charges include embezzlement, false reporting and theft

BAD AX – Warrants have been issued for two people who police believe were involved in the October 23 reported theft of the Advanced America cash advance.

According to a press release from the Bad Ax Police Department, the two individuals arranged to turn into police officers. The individuals are charged with embezzlement, false denunciation of a crime and theft from a building.

On the morning of October 23, a person entered the business claiming to have a gun and allegedly forced an employee to open the safe and safes. After the individual left the store, the employee activated the panic alarm, prompting Bad Ax Police to intervene and investigate.


The names of the two accused will be released after their appearance in Huron County District Court.
